Why my database size reduced itself

My database size was 11mb. but some day the size was reduced to 1mb itself.
Fortunatelly, I did not lose any record. But I am wondering why this could
happen.

Might you have performed a Compact on the database?

No, I did not do anything other than entering data.

You haven't set the database to compact on close? (Check the General tab
under Tools | Options)
