I did a post but when I checked it out I got the following message. I have
seen this when someone post inapropriate messages or when it is spam of some
kind but why would my post have getten that message?
Message is no longer available on the server
Outlook Express is unable to retrieve the requested message because the
server no longer has the message available.

This is an OE (strictly a usenet) question, not an XP question.

It means, believe it or not, that "the message is no longer available on the
server"

There are many possible reasons why its not there any more, including the
fact that servers dont store messages forever. Try google groups if you need
to see these expired messages. And next time post to an appropriate
newsgroup if you cannot find the answer *after* googling for the answer,
which you'd have found in this case.

I thank you Mr. Candy at least now I know that it wasn't because of me.

Servers get confused sometimes. You need to reset the group.

Well Well Well.
I must say, we here are not imbeciles. I am aware that I posted my question
in the microsoft.public.WINDOWSXP.general location, and that "googling for
the answer" can be quicker and it uses less of "your" time, but when you try
to see some of the "SOLUTIONS" posted by "YOU" and can not have access to
it because of some simple "error". that occured here, even when the message
is minutes or days old, I feel that POSTING my question in the place that
the problem occured in, would be of help to myself AND others, who
experience this from time to time, I sertainly could have done what you
mentioned, and I will keep it in mind the next time around.
If you did/do read this I must thank you for trying and for telling me the
obviouse (seeing that I posted to error in my question)
