Hi,

Seems like ever since I updated to Messenger Live I have had IExplorer with
adverts hit me every now and then and also I notice 5 or 6 instances of
iexplore in task manager processes.

Is this needed?

Can I get them out.

I mainly use FireFox NOT IE anyway.

Thanks

Only one instance of IE should be running, the others are probably spyware,
go to Start\Run\type msconfig and enter\click Startup tab and uncheck
unknown or suspicious program.. next go to start\run\type regedit and
enter.. look in the following registry keys for unknown or suspicious values
in the Run keys and delete it/them.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Install anti-spyware programs.. Recommended programs are; Adaware,
Spybot Search & Destroy, antitrojan The Cleaner, anti-CoolWebSearch
CWShredder.

Download Adaware, Spybot and CWShredder

Download The Cleaner antitrojan

Both in msconfig and the Run registry keys, the normal system
programs/values are the default value REG_SZ value, several instances of the
antivirus, messenger, ctfmon, the Office shortcut bar and those programs you
may have installed and set to run at startup...
