Why isn't white, white?

In a picture box, I use a bmp file with a white background. On my
desktop PC, the white is white (load it up in IE, and you can't see
where the white background meets the white of an empty browser window)
but on the PocketPC you can clearly see where the image ends, and where
the white background begins. Is this a problem with the device (iPAQ),
the PocketPC OS, the Compact Framwork, or my bmp?

Hi,

Maybe make sure that the number of colors of your image matches with the
number of colors which can be displayed by your machine.

Thomas
