why is nothing displayed on my outlook today screen

I use Outlook 2007 and my "outlook today" page content will flash for a
fraction for second the remain hidden
 
I had this trouble with Outlook 2003. Eventually I found "Detect and
Repair..." under "Help" fixed it. You'll need to be an administrator to do
this.
