Why is my VPN Connection autodialing?

This is very strange.
I have a dell inspiron 6000
It never auto dialed before.
I sent it back to Dell to get the motherboard replaced. Now all problems I
reported are fixed, but I noticed that my VPN connection to my office is
connecting automatically when I'm at home, even when I don't want the
connection. If I am at a place with no internet, it still trys to dial the
VPN.
If I do nothing on my computer, but it is turned on, no programs running, it
trys to autodial.

Anyone have a clue for the freaky behavior??

Thanks

Mike

Check in Control Panel, under Internet Options. On the Connections tab, see
which connection is the default, and if it's set to dial automatically. This
may explain why the VPN is dialling.

As to why it should dial when nothing is running, a check for spyware would
be my first recommendation.

Thanks for the reply. I can tell you this is my only connection and it is set
to never dial a connection.

As for spyware, this didnt happen until Dell replaced my motherboard. I had
the hard drive with me the entire time.

Also, I scan for spyware with several programs and it is clean.

Any other ideas?
