Why is my personal address book read only?

We have a problem with MS Outlook for 97. The personal Address book can not
be changed. If any changes are needed, they have to be added again to the
book. If the PAB is removed, the new pab is normal. How do I get the address
book to work properly again?
 
I'd suggest asking this in a newgroup related to Outlook.

This newsgroup is for questions about Access, the database product that's
part of Office Professional.
 
IIRC correctly, there were some problems using address book imported from MS
Mail (???). Due to the different structure, you cannot edit the imported
address book.

However, you posted in the wrong newsgroup. This newsgroup is for Microsoft
Access, a database application.

For Outlook experts' advices, you should re-post your question in one of the
relevant Outlook newsgroups.
