why is my merge fields greyed out when printing ?

MayDayI'm doing a mail merge using a existing data base in Access,letter was
done in Word.When it prints all the addresses and greeting lines,they are
greyed out and I can not remove the grey it and return it to normal.

Are you doing the merge in Word? This sounds more like a WORD question to
me. I would bet you will get a faster answer in the Word mailmerge
newsgroup.
