Why is mail spelling ALWAYS checked in US English?

Outlook 2003.

I have set my spelling dictionary to UK English, but Outlook insists on
checking the spelling of all my emails in US English. Even when changed back
to UK English when it flags a word, it will revert to US English fro the rest
of the message.

How can I stop this?

What do you have under custom dictionary in Outlook spelling? What language
is your keyboard set to?

Milly,

I have a UK keyboard, Language set to UK English, custom dictionary in
Outlook set to UK english.

However I've just been browsing the language settings in the control panel
and found that I had both UK english AND US english turned on. I've remove
the US english setting and will see if this makes any difference & report
futher

Thanks

If you are a home user, you'd know if you were using exchange server.
