why is it saying that a section is locked?

i am trying to write on word and i opened the document i wanted then i try to
write and it says that the modification is not allowed because this selection
is lockced
what do i do??

If it's a purchased copy of Office, you have to activate it --

If it's an expired trial version, you have to buy a fully licensed copy. I'd
recommend uninstalling the trial version before starting to install the new one.
