Why is IE NOT loading pictures on some sites?

I've been running some spy bot software reccommended from a previous question on this newsgroup. Up until about late after yesterday, everything was working fine with my internet. But now when I try and load certain urls, like Hotmail and others, it won't load the pictures, just shows the boxes with the X in them. Some pages only load the top most portion of their page that contains links, but when I try and click on a link it won't go anywhere and it says in the status bar at the bottom of the page, "error on page" What is going on?!?

This may be occurring because Spybot (and possibly other software) has added
a range or list of blocked web sites to your hosts list (the hosts file is
in the windows/etc or winnt/etc folder). This is to prevent the user from
either downloading spyware or prevent the user from clicking onto sites
which may have spyware.
