Why has my main menu bar suddenly disappeared?

I started a new Excel spreadsheet this morning and noticed that my "main menu
bar" was MIA. Yesterday it was where it should be. Any ideas as to what
happened and how to fix it? Thanks in advance ...
 
Hi

seems to be happening a lot today!

view / toolbars / customize .. go to the toolbars tab and ensure that
Worksheet Menu Bar is checked.
