why dont wesite Icons work enymore?

I have noticed that internet icons don't seem to show up on my favorites. is
this a new thing? can we still use this function. or has MS removed this
functions from its browser.?

If you have used Tools Internet Options General Delete Files (Delete offline content) the favicons are also deleted

HI! again, I think I might know why, I now remember losing the default icon
for lnk pages and set it in back in the windows explorer menu. I think now
its forcing all links in the favorites to be that icon and disregards the
sites private icon.

If so how do I now revert back to the default without changing anything
else. hmmm

If someone knows how let me know. if not I will try to find out on the
Internet explorer newsgroup and reply to this post giving the answer as it
might be useful for other FrontPage users trying to using Favicon.ico in
there website.
