Why don't my messages always end up in my sent folder?

Some, but not all, of my outgoing mail gets to my 'Sent Folder'. I can see
no pattern to those that make the transition from 'Outbox' to 'Sent'. The
messages are getting out and to their recepients ok, just not showing up in
the 'Sent' folder.

what type of email acct? when sending more than one at a time does it happen

It is a POP account out of PCPeople. I don't know that it happens with
multiple addressees, most emails from this account are sent out individually
(I am pretty sure, though I'll dbl ck). This does occur with single emails
to single addresses.
