Hello,

This morning when I opened an New Document in Word and attempted to invoke
one of my macros (stored in the Normal.dot file), it did not work. Nothing
happened. I looked in Tools -> Macros... Macros for the list of macros (in
the New Document) and saw only AutoExit.MAIN, RemoveFineXML, RunFineReader,
and Show). None of the macros I've created are there. However, I do see all
my macros in Normal.dot. Why are they not appearing in my New Documents?
(I'm using Word 2003.)

When you create a document based on a template, any macros in the template
will *not* be copied into the document; this is by design.

Hi Stefan,

Thank you for your response. I now realize what happened. The other day, I
set up my "File Locations" in Word so that "User Templates" pointed to my own
templates folder (separate location than where Normal.dot is stored). It
appears this caused the creation of new Normal.dot to my templates location.
I changed the path back to the default and my new documents are now finding
the macros stored in Normal.dot.

Thanks, again, for your help.
