why don't all my contacts in categories appear

I have categorized all my contacts in Outlook however when I use the category
view, not all of the categories appear and not all of the contacts within the
categories that do show up appear either

Yes but most of my contacts are in one folder and that's the one I'm
referring to. Only about 5 categories show up when I do the category view

Unless you have a filter for certain categories, they should all be in a By
Category view if they are in the same folder.

Thank you so much, that was it. I was not aware that there was a filter
applied so I checked for that, cleared it, and they are all there.
