Why doesn't e-mail (outlook) links open in a new window

Whenever I click on a link in an Email (XP/Office2002) within outlook it
opens in the current IE (6) window. Right clicking does not bring up an
option to open in a new window as it does in other programs. I do not have
this problem at work (Win 2000) This is annoying as I fequently surf while
reading Email.

It's an Internet Explorer option. In IE go to Tools-> Internet Options-> tab
Advanced and uncheck the option to Reuse windows for launching shortcuts
