Why does my print icon not recognize the default printer in forms.

I have to go through the pull down menu every time I want to print a form to
select my local printer. It always revert to a network printer after I have
printed. The local printer is set as my default. I am using Windows 2000,
but I have a friend with the same problem using the same Access application
on a XP Pro machine.

Apparently, your form has been saved to print with a specific printer. Open
the form (or better still, you should be printing reports, not forms) in
design view and choose the printer you want to print to. Then save the
form/report. Change to form/report view and make sure that printer is still
selected, then print. Save the form/report again.

That's more steps than are required, but that has worked for me 100% of the
time, so I'm not about to change it.
