Why does my default e-mail account change when I logout of XP?

I changed my default e-mail account in Outlook 2003 to my POP/SMTP account.
When I log out of XP and then log back in my default e-mail account has
changed back to the Microsoft Exchange Server.

This might happen i the exchange account was set up before the pop account
To rememdy this behaviour setup the pop account in a new profile for outlook
 
This worked, thank you. When I opened Outlook with my new profile however I
did not have access to the e-mail messages that were in my account under the
old profile. I had to restore my old profile and forward my e-mail messages
to my yahoo account then go back to my new profile and forward those e-mails
from my yahoo account back to my Outlook. (There may be an easier way to do
this but I only had a few e-mail messages in Outlook to begin with anyway).
