Why do my HTML emails arrive in HTML code?

I design web pages, and used to be able to write the HTML for a web page,
paste the code into a new message and send it out. The recipients would
receive it as an inline web page, with the formatting, images, etc. Now when
I do the same thing, it arrives as the text version of HTML code. I have
upgraded to IE7, and I have Windows Automatic Updates turned on, so Outlook
would contain all current updates. "Send as HTML" is my default mail format.
What am I missing?!?

Hi, I'm just browsing this newsgroup and I noticed your post. The recipient
will have to have receive in HTML format in Outlook Express. OE > Options >
Read.

What do you paste into the message body: the HTML code, or the rendered
web page? If you paste HTML, naturally this is what the recipient will
get. Copy and paste the rendered page instead of HTML code.

Okay, that works -- but I still don't understand why I can't just paste the
code into the email. I used to do that (7-10 months ago) and the email
arrived looking like a web page, and not in code. But thanx much, Pat -- at
least I can make it work now.
