Why do hyperlinks display as ::BLOCKED in emails I send

I use Outlook 2003 with all updates installed. When I send an email with a
hyperlink of an email address in the body, many recipients report that the
hyperlink is surrounded by garbage saying ::BLOCKED 100s of times with the
hyperlink and garbage repeated over and over. If I look at one of these in my
SENT message folder and hover over the offending hyperlink, I see the
::BLOCKED etc. I have sent test emails to people on our intranet where I know
my address is OK and would not be blocked or detected as spam, and the same
thing happens. Strangely, this does not happen with a hyperlink which is part
of my signature! Can someone please help - this is driving me crazy.

Have them check what type of spam-blocking software they have installed.
Outlook does not do this.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

That was my first thought, but I wonder why it appears within my intranet
where we all use the same spam-blocking software, but it only happens on my
messages? And, even more significantly, why does it appear when I hover over
a link in my own SENT folder? I would not have thought that any spam blocking
software would have acted on it at that stage? I've tried disabling my AV,
spywatching, anti-spam - everything but it still happens! I also wonder why
it doesn't happen with my return email address hyperlink and my company URL,
both in my signature. Surely if it was anti-spam software, all hyperlinks
would be affected. Note: the link in the body and the one in the signature
are exactly the same address.

Diane: Thank you, thank you thank you!!!
I had been cutting and pasting previous emails which contained the URL and
had my Automatic Picture Download settings set to Don't download etc so it
was my own Outlook that was doing the blocking which was then replicated
every time I pasted an old URL into another message. Thanks again - you've
saved my sanity ( for the time being at least)

it has something to do with how you enter the urls. I can't repro it though.
