Why do html emails from only some people show up as plain text?

I am using outlook 2007. I am able to revceive and vie html emails from most
users, but there is one person in my office with the same computer, os and
version of outlook that sends html mesages with emoticons and logos that do
not show up in the body of the message. His messages are sent as html, but
arrive in plain text format on my machine. His emails seem to be the only
ones that are that way. I have reviewed his setting vs mine and they are
identical.

Perhaps he has your record in his Contacts set to convert all mail going to
you to plain text.
