Why do Databases on our server open on my computer as read only?

Also happens to Word documents. We have no permissions set for anybody in the
office. Appears to be my laptop is only pc affected. I am administrator of
network. After opening a database, and then closing, the read only, hidden,
and archive attributes reset to checked.

There are a number of places where permissions may be hiding. You need
full access (read write edit and delete) for the directory where the file is
located. Also check the file properties. Is any form of Access security
set?

I have checked all places I know of to check including server permissions.
When I open the DB, the properties change to read only, hidden, and archive.
The only way any body else can see them is if I go back using windows
explorer, find the file and uncheck those properties.
