Why did file size jump to 34 MB?!

My spreadsheet was last at 57KB ... but I changed the formatting, using AutoFormat-- and then I went to re-save it on disc and I learned the disc was full-- no space left b/c the file had jumped up to 34MB!!

Can someone please help me with this? I'm using MS Excel 2002 and my PC runs on XP Pro 2002 Svc. Pack 1
