Why can't my macro find an object?

When I use the SetValue action in any macro, I get a message that Access
can't find the object that contains the control I want to mess with. It says
this even when I choose the object/control from the menu in the expression
builder.

If I change the action to OpenForm and use the same form, it will open it
with no problems. If I add a set value action after this for a control on
the form, it says that it can't find the control.

What the heck is going on?

I'm having the same problem and I do have the macro open the form first.

"Microsoft Office Access cannot find the name 'QueryName' you entered in the
expression.
You have have specified a control that wasn't on the current object without
specifying the correct form or report context."

Are you trying to SetValue of a query field?
