Why can't I save my modified index.htm(l) page?

When I try to save my modified index.html page, FrontPage cannot save the
page. It says "the page you are trying to save already exist" and it cannot
overwrite it. Instead it gives me an option to save it in a different name.
This only happens when I am trying to modify my index page in just one
particular website I created. I have not experienced this in any other of my
websites. I currently use FrontPage 2003. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

Hi Victor,

The web may not have index.html defined as a default starting page. Check with your ISP / WPP for guidance

Save the modified page under a new name, delete the current page, then right click the new page and
rename.
