Sounds like the pictures may be protected from pirating.

It would help if we knew where you are (URL) when you try this and how you are
copying. Generally you would right click on a picture and select copy.
However, it is much preferred to select "Save Picture as...". Anyway, can you
point us to the web page?

Hi,

On another slant...

What version of PowerPoint? Have you tried Detect and Repair from the Help
menu? I have an issue where nothing gets copied to the clipboard for MS
Office unless an actual Office program is open. I wonder if this is an
extension of that?

OK. Done some more testing. If I copy from the internet and then go to
PowerPoint's clipboard, I first get some rubbish icon until PowerPoint can
download a preview of the image off the internet and display it. It may be
some sort of connection problem. I wonder what your settings are under Help|
Customer Feedback Options|. Although, this should not affect the clipboard
even if it online options are turned off.

Hi,

And your online content settings? I admit I cant get it to muck up here.
Another hunch:

Method 1: Clear the Office Clipboard
1.Within PowerPoint, on the Edit menu, click Office Clipboard.
2.On the Clipboard task pane, click Clear All. This removes all previously
copied items from the Office Clipboard.
3.Copy the item again.

In Office XP, the clipboard may be full and not tell you, apparently.

Method 2: Start PowerPoint.
2.On the Edit menu, click Office Clipboard.
3.In the Office Clipboard task pane, click Options, and then click Collect
Without Showing Office Clipboard.

But I still think it is to do with the internet access.
