Why can't I make pdf's of Word documents anymore?

Up until the last one or two Adobe updates I had no problem saving or
printing files as pdf's. It was a drop-down print option and a Save As
option. Then those toolbar disappeared.

Do I have to go back to an earlier version of Acrobat Reader to get that
capability back? The Adobe website didn't offer a working solution.
 
If you have a version of Adobe Acrobat that is compatible with your version
of Word, you should still be able to make PDFs. If you are using the Save as
PDF function in Word 2007, this should still be available. But if you were
depending on a feature in a long-ago version of Acrobat Reader, then no,
this is not available in current Adobe Reader versions.
