Why can't email recipients open Word "Newsletter.doc" attachments.

I'm running Word 2000 on Win '98SE. I've downloaded a Word Newsletter
Template from the Microsoft site. When I try to send it via email as an
attachment, most of my recipients can't open the attachment, although they
can open other attachments. If I use "File, Send To, Mail Recipient" while
working in Word, all my recipients receive is the title bar of the
newsletter.....no text.
What am I doing wrong?

Perhaps they're trying to view them in Normal view? Your newsletter is
probably constructed of text boxes, which aren't visible in Normal view. Or
perhaps they don't have "Drawings" checked on the View tab of Tools |
Options.
