I have original artwork in jpg format. It was imported using Adobe Photoshop
and saved as jpg. In some instances, I can insert it into Frontpage, in
other cases, Frontpage says that it does not support this format. How do I
get Frontpage to accept my jpgs? Any help would be much appreciated.

When working in Photoshop on images for the web, make sure you are working in RGB color workspace not CMYK...especially when you save the ..jpg. CMYK is for print and wont display on the web.

maybe group all your images together and do a "batch process" on them with
image ready to get the compressed and formatted as you want, then in
FrontPage hit file/ import and chose "folder", browse to your processed
folder and bring it into your web structure.
then just work from there.

In Photoshop does Save for the Web work for you? That's where you do the
optimizing. Then IMPORT them into your site before using them on your pages.
