Why are some days on my monthly calendar different colors?

I am trying to figure out why some days and/or groups of days are a different
color than the rest of the days in a given month. I can't seem to find the
answer.

Version? 2007? All day event and Free/Busy setting?

It's because you assigned color categories to items marked Busy.
