Why are business contacts added in accounts not shown in list Busi

When you add a contact in the window of an Account this contact is not added
in the Business Contacts list of my Addressbook, while it is in the Business
Contacts folder of BCM
(working with BCM 2007)

Joepie,

The business contact needs to have a valid email address to be shown in the
address book list. Try adding a test email address and you should find your
contact is then in the list.

I did check this: where the e-mail addresses of both the account and
the contact mentioned in the account window, the contact is not in the
address book.
So there seems to be another problem. Any ideas?

Joepie,

OK. On my system (2007) this does work. Have you checked that the
contact is not filed under the surname rather than first name or that you
have added a title (Mr, Mrs etc.) and that the contact is there, but not in
the list where you would expect it. Have I missunderstood, is it that when
you choose to add a contact to your account, the contact is not listed? If
so, the contact may already be linked to another account? I won't be able
to assist with bug fixing, but glad to try to help with user experience.

Regards,
Spencer

Spencer,

Thanks for your help so far.
When I choose Add next to the table where the business contacts of
that specific account are mentioned in the Account main window, a list
opens which looks like the Address Book. I did take a closer look at
the business contacts mentioned in that list. The list contains only
old contacts, no new ones. I will take some time to get it clear what
makes the distinction. As far as I can see from the list it could be
that you only see the contacts added with BCM 2003 and that no contact
from BCM 2007 is added. That suggests a bug.
I wrote about 'a list which looks like the Address Book'. When I click
the Address Book in the menubar, it shows all the Business Contacts
mentioned in the Business Contacts folder. So that Address Book is ok,
but it's a different address Book from the one shown when you click
the Add button as mentioned before.
Should I link or upgrade anywhere to make the first Address Book
compatible with the one in the menubar?

Joepie,

The address book contains more than one list. I would expect that you
should be able to choose from Accounts, Business Contacts, and Contacts.
When you have opened a BCM Account and click the Add... Business Account
button, the address book is shown but limited to the Business Contacts folder.

If you can see that the business contact is listed correctly in the address
book when you open it from the tool bar at the top of the main Outlook
window, but not available in the list when adding a business contact from an
account, then this is because the contact is already linked to another
account.

My Business Contacts address book only shows contacts that are not allocated
to a Business Account already. You can check this with your specific BC by
opening the record and checking the Linked Account field.

OK.
Clear.
I posted the question cause I wanted to link a BC to two different
Accounts. Simply because he is active in two different organisations.
Am I right that is impossible, or am I drawing the wrong conclusion?

contact manager is full of flaws now- 1. accounts can not be selected, 2.
accounts can not be populated, 3 e mail marketing is definitely NOT WORKING
AT ALL.
