By "have tried updates," do you mean you succeeded at updates or just
tried? (That sounded really rude, and it's not meant to be). I have seen
others who did not sucessfully update but thought they had and thought the
updates hadn't solved the problem. When they really updated, the problem
was really solved. Go to the Help menu and choose About Microsoft
PowerPoint. Look at the version number. Does it end with SP1 or SP2? If
not, you did not successfully update. You might need to download and run
the update manually.
