why am I downloading headers only?

I have OE 6 win xp home on HP pavillion notebook.
when I synchronize the account I choose to down load new messages only. but
the new messages have the headers only.

anyone know why? initially I download "all messages" and from that point on
I just wanted to get the new messages. and I want to be able to read them
offline. but...for the new messages I have to click the message to acutall
down load the message.

anyone?

Try this in OE. View>Current View>Customize Current View... In the dialog
box, does it read "Show all messages" (Show is in blue, like a hyperlink.) ?
If Hide is what shows, click on it, and in next box, mark "Show".
