Asus A7v266-e Rev 1.07.

Would free up a 3 1/2 inch bay for somthing else :)

Thanks.

Will your computer boot from a USB floppy? I've got a Sony USB floppy
that I use when needed, it stays in a zippered case the rest of the
time.

Seems that every floppy drive I had in a PC gets filled with dust and
no longer reads a disk anyway.

People are still using Floppy disks?? How barbaric...

Depends on the case, Mine has a 3.5" bay specifically for a floppy
drive (has that formed slot and button on the front), anthough one
could proably stick an HDD in there.

If you have a full 3.5" bay, you could install an all-in-one media
reader.

I need them to get some files to my legacy machines, so that I can set
them up to transfer files in other means.

you would have a hard time loading SATA drivers as most look at 'A' only for the drivers...

I've been using the same FDD since 1996, a Teac. It currently sits in the lowest 5.25" bay.

I honestly can't foresee the day I will stop using one.
