Who is upgrading to Windows 8 right away? LOL

I don't see a real need to upgrade from my present Windows 7 OS. Same for any SQL Server version from the present 2008--what is the next, 2012? Again no real need.

I might upgrade in a year or two if it catches on.

as I was saying elsewhere... (hadn't looked awhile, nothing
surprising, except wasn't expecting such a cheerful reception of XP
and even pre users)....

What it was?

It would be nice to know (in a nutshell) what Win8 has that Win7 doesn't
from a home user's POV.

Sure, Why not. Get it while it's cheap, Get the benefits like faster boot
and shutdown and many other tweaks and bug fixes. I will run "Classic Shell"
to get rid of that stupid Metro desktop and everything should be just fine.

Sounds reasonable.
