Who Are MVPs?

I only recently realised that Microsoft employees do not monitor and answer
questions raised in these forums!!
Just curious - who are MVPs then???

They're volunteers who have been recognized by MS for their help in
these groups.

Thanks! MVPs clearly deserve more respect than they typically get! Most
posters seem to think MVPs are personally responsible for the design flaws of
MS products!!!

Perhaps, but many think that we have more of a direct influence on and access
to the Outlook team and their design strategy that we actually have.
