White page=page can not be found

Why is it that lately I have been getting so many white "page can not be
found" pages when I am on the Internet? I use IE 6.0 with SP2. My OS is XP
Pro and we use Norton and Spy Sweeper? We used to have very little trouble
getting that page and now it seems like it happens all of the time. I even
get it when I click on the help then the the online support tab on the top of
my IE page. Some times if I keep trying to get into the page it eventually
lets me in. Sometimes it works better if I just type the address in the
address bar and then hit go instead of clicking on a like.

Any help/knowledge would be appreciated since this is driving my wife up a
wall.

Thanks

Can't tell from what you wrote if you're referring to a specific web page
(what's the URL?) or certain web pages or web pages in general. Understand
that web pages are not created by Windows and not served by Windows. If the
web page creator is working on the page, or having trouble with the page, or
doing maintenance on the web server or having trouble with the web server,
you will have trouble viewing that web page.

Your ability to view web pages is also affected by your ISP and by all the
other computers, routers, switches, etc. lying between the originating web
server and your computer.

In any of those situations, your only solution is to wait it out until
everyone else gets their act together.

It varies from site to site. For example, icetab.com. When I try to view
the money saving offers from Vision Direct it tries to take me to icetab.com
which is a rebate/coupon site that many companies use I get the error for
about 20 times and then it lets me in. But, when I just type in icetab.com
in the address bar it takes me there right away. I never used to have that
problem and I thought it was maybe something that got messed up with SP2 or
something else that I set up wrong. Oh well. I guess I will just keep
living with it.

Thanks anyhow.
