Hi, some people expressed interest in watching John & my wedding online, I'm afraid I know nothing at all about webcams & was just wondering what brands of webcam you guys would recommend to run with my mac lappy?
Also prices are marked up to screaming point over here, so if anyone can recomend a reputable buyer that ships internationaly (I'm not on ebay) then that would be great too thanks :)
I'll google it as well of course, but since it's not my field I really would have no idea who really knows what they're talking about. & who's going to ship me quality not cr*p.
So if you guys can help me then I really would be grateful
Thanks :)

Forget it ... get a digital camcorder or hire someone ... then upload the pics to youtube or somewhere.

:) Thanks mucks, I can't afford any camcorders that will actually do the job :( I tried buying a cheap one & the sound was worse than on my photo camera :( & the good ones are $1000 upwards over here. Most electronic equipment is ridiculously priced down here. I've got friends from america who refuse to get cell phones over here on principal because of the ridiculous prices they charge (mine was $399 because i got it on a special)
But if the webcam won't do any better then I'll ask around & see if I can find someone with a camcorder. Thanks :thumb:

logitech seem to be one of the biggest manufacturers of webcams, i'd have a look at their site and see if you can find one that'll work

Sorry, my point was to say, you may as well get a super-eight movie camera (1960s) than a "webcam" for such a days event.

Nice idea, just take some pictures. ;)

Thanks chris & Me_2001 :)
I had been afraid that's what it would have to be :)
I will have to see if I can bully my bank account into line  :wall:
Does anyone know personally what the sound on the isight is like?
No point forking out all that money if we can't hear anything.
Maybe I should just take some photos like mucks said.

Mucks...
it would be so cool to get the wedding filmed in flickery old B&W 'home movie' film
Now that would really be something...
I could dig out some of my LP's for the background music...
I wish.... :)

That reminds me, flops said something about sending me over some music for the wedding...
you around here anywhere Flops...?

Did I?

I must have been drunk

Funny thing though, I was actually thinking about it anyway :)

When was the wedding again?

24 of February
Only 2 months away now!!!
Still haven't figured how it managed to sneak up on me so close without me noticing....
John was thinking of using one of the songs you sent as the 'bridal march'
for when I come out of the house.
It was the Deepak Chopra & Demi Moore one I think, off the Angel Beach album.
Wouldn't've thought he'd go for something so 'total'
We're not teenagers after all
But I think it appeals to the romantic in him :)
