Which web browser object?

With Microsoft AntiSpyware on Windows XP Home Edition, every time I change
user, I get AntiSpyware notices. A completely stupid one is a complaint about
switching the home page for IE, from one user's to the other's. Why is this
an issue? Neither user has changed its homepage, so there should be no
switching going on. Secondly, and more worryingly, I get the following notice
"An Internet Explorer Web browser object requires your approval." along with
an explanation about what this means. It DOES NOT TELL YOU ANYTHING ABOUT THE
WEB BROWSER OBJECT CONCERNED! How on earth can you decide whether to allow or
to block an object if you have no idea which object it is, where it came from
etc. let alone whether this decision should be sent to SpyNet...

Any advice welcome

Thanks, Tom. Do I need to uninstall the original? Looking at other posts it
might not uninstall cleanly. Does WinDefender beta 2 manage things better? I
do not want to be confronted with a message saying "I have detected a problem
but won't tell you what it is - now what do you want me to do about it?"! I
understand this was beta software and so not bug-free, but I would have
thought that in this sort of application the minimum is to allow a user to
make informed choices.

Tony - I agree with Tom--1) just download and run--it will take care of the
old version for you. Yes, there will be bits left behind, no they shouldn't
cause any problem.

2) In every case I've seen so far where the beta1 program threw up confusing
or annoying messages in situations like those you describe, beta2 does
better. I'd recommend trying it.
