Which version of powerpoint do I need if I don't have one?

I have windows XP with office 2003 that does not have powerpoint on it. I
would like to have powerpoint- I know there is an upgrade out there. Do I
need to buy both the full version and the upgrade version to work on my
system? What is the difference between standard and professional and
teacher/student? I will be giving powerpoint presentations infrequently ( I
am a physical therapist)

Thank you. When looking to purchase Office 2003 which includes
powerpoint, there is an upgrade for that. I guess my question is to I purchase
the original and then purchase the upgrade?

Did you look at the link that John provide to see what you have/need to get
PowerPoint? You may have to go out and buy the stand alone version of
PowerPoint. In which case you may want to download and try the beta version
of 2007 PowerPoint
