Which type of DVD?

OK, now that I am making home videos, I would like to burn more than one clip
on the DVD. Which type of DVD (DVD+RW or DVD-RW) should I buy? Can I add
clips after burning the video or will the new clips just replace what is
already on the disc?

Are you wanting to create a simple
DVD Data Disk for backup or are
you wanting to create a Video DVD
that will play in a free standing DVD
player?

I want ot make home movies to share with family and play on DVD players. I
would like to be able to keep using the same DVD when I add new footage from
the camcorder.

You need DVD Authoring software to
create Video DVDs...Nero, Roxio, ULead,
InterVideo WinDVD Creator, ProShow
Gold, etc. etc...

When you create a Video DVD the disk
is closed and additional files cannot be
added. Personally I don't recommend
re-writable DVDs but if you decide to
use them...I am not positive...but you may
be able to reformat them for reuse.

Also you might try making VCDs...this
would be a Video CD that can be created
on a CD instead of a DVD. Many DVD
players will play VCDs.
