Which SATA Controller cards compatible with P4PE

Ken

I have two SATA drives already attached to my P4PE hdd controller and I
would like more storage.

Are there any SATA controller cards that work particularly well with the
P4PE to which I could add a couple more hard drives, up to 3 or 4?

Also, can a SATA DVD drive be connected to such a card or does it need
to be connected to the motherboard?

Thanks

Here is a sample compatibility list, for a SATA ODD versus various
motherboards or add-in adapters.

For your amusement, see the range of experiences with an add-in card.

I used the Western Digital (Promise made) SATA PCI raid card and had no
problems on the P4PE for a couple of years using two raid-0 arrays.
