1970, 27 year-old Paul McCartney issued a press statement, announcing that The Beatles had split. McCartney said, 'I have no future plans to record or appear with The Beatles again, or to write any music with John'.

1982, Iron Maiden scored their first UK No.1 album with 'The Number Of The Beast.'

As it happens Michelle Gilliam from the Mamas & Papas (better known as Michelle Phillips after she married) is something to feel chuffed about, she be one tasty woman :)

But other than that, I guess you're right... ;)

December 21st 1940, Born on this day, Frank Zappa, multi' instrumentalist, producer and composer. Recorded with The Mothers Of Invention and solo, 1969 album 'Hot Rats', 1974 album 'Apostrophe', featuring 'Don't Eat The Yellow Snow'. First band was The Blackouts, recorded one of the first concept albums 'Freak Out'. Zappa died of prostrate cancer on 4th December 1993.

I always had a feeling that there was something strange about you Quad you must have been zapped by them strange cosmic rays at birth just like Frank.

Influenced The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. Holly was killed in a plane crash on 3rd February 1959. The Big Bopper and Ritchie Valans were also killed in the crash.
