I have windows XP and ProtectX for detecting hacker
connections.

Which ports I should blocked to prevent hacker from
attacking my computer?

Does windows XP have a feature for blocking some critial
ports to prevent hackers?

Thanks

Windows has the ICF (Internet Connection Firewall) built in. To turn it on:

In "Network Connections", go into the properties for your broadband
connection.
On the Advanced Tab, turn on ICF

Theoretically, all ports should be closed, and then only essential ones
opened (port 80 to run a web server, port 21 to run an FTP server, etc.).
