I am about to build a new pc and want to know which is the best the 2
options i have are:

AMD 64 3500+ 2000fsb
Asustek PCI-E 3200 ddr sdram 4GB
2X1GB 3200 ram
Sapphire 256 X800gto
LG 17" TFT Monitor
80GB Maxtor 8mb
Sony DVD/RW

The second system is basicaly the same but with a
P4 64bit 3.2 GHz and a
Gigabyte PCI-E 3200 ddr sdram 4GB

I would like to play games and do not wish to have 2 monitors but do
like to play music while doing things on my pc so would the AMD 3500
be able to cope as well as the P4 because of the HT technology????

Plz help
Thanks

Jamie

I can play music on my PC whilst doing several other things and it's an
Athlon XP3200.

AMD do the best gaming CPUs.

I disagre a P4 has higher clock speeds but lesser instructions per clock
cycle. So simply Intel fast @ a few things AMD quick @ many things.

Go AMD for gaming/office/etc and Intel for video editting (for the moment).

I'm going to die rather sooner than I'd like. I tried to protect my
neighbours from crime, and became the victim of it. Complications in
hospital following this resulted in a serious illness. I now need a bone
marrow transplant. Many people around the world are waiting for a marrow
transplant, too. Please volunteer to be a marrow donor:
