Which patch replaces which

Hi,

When MS launches a new patch I need to know exactly which
former pacth the new one replaces. It is not enough
knowing that it replaces the former cumulative patch I
also need to know the patches between. Is there a
worksheet telling exactly these patches is replaces with
these.

You can probably find all that information on the Microsoft web site. I'm
rather interested to know: What does it matter? Windows Update takes care of
all the details and always offers me exactly what I need.
