You'd be silly not to go DDR3 tbh. DDR2 is only going the way of DDR. ;)

I do not believe you said that.
Decided then xD

Because of certain...well lets just say circumstances I wasn't able to follow up on the goings in the PC world for about a year. Still catching up :)

I agree DDR3 would be better as DDR2 is now old hat and if you are upgrading probably best to go with the most advanced technology:user:

Why do so many people still use XP?

Good question, often wonder myself. For the record I really like Win 7 but lemme think of some reasons why people still use XP.

1) Because Vista was crap.
2) Because Win 7 costs money.
3) Because despite being out of date XP at the time was the best OS MS had made thus far.
4) Because it works.
5) Because it will play a lot of games Vista and Win 7 will not.
6) Because XP is happily running all the software the user needs.
7) Because folks don't like change and XP is familiar to them.

I'm sure I'll think of more reasons but that'll do for now.

why did people leave Win 98 (se) behind?

because it worked
because XP couldn't play games, had to use Win98 mode
Win2000 wasn't for the home user
ME was crap
Vista was on the drawing board

You are perzactlee right Mr Mucks :thumb:

The geezer asked why, I replied.

Didn't say I thought those reasons were right though ;)

Were I asked to venture an opinion on the subject the word 'Luddite' would spring to mind.
