Which Event to use?

Doesn't work, it fires on entering the new record, not on leaving the on on
screen :-(

That's the one!

Was this intended as a test? Your response here would imply that you already
knew the answer and asked the question just to see if someone could puzzle
it out from your rather vague statement of the problem. If that was the
case, it's certainly misusing the newsgroup.

The questions here with the best chance of getting good answers the first
time are "precise and concise". For other good suggestions on effective use
of the newsgroups, visit the FAQ at
http://www.mvps.org/access/netiquette.htm.

I'll also add my objection to your dating your questions in the future so
they will stay at the top of the list of messages, even after they are
answered. It is irritating, unnecessary, shouldn't happen time after time,
and, as has already been pointed out, can get you "blacklisted" by the very
people most qualified to answer your questions.

While it may be an honest mistake, it's starting to get tiresome. And using
Ctrl-H is only to show your posts anyhow, so I can't imagine that it would
annoy you, just us.

I think you're going to find people unwilling to respond to you anymore
unless you start following standard posting netiquette.

I will honestly try to avoid it. And using CTRL+H: I have posts on top that
are no longer important to me.

I have this code on a button. Is there an event I can assign this code to as
soon as f.e. somebody goes to the next record?

This was certainly not a test but more intended to show my enthousiasme in
getting the answer that helped me out!
As for the future posts, see the reply I gave to Dirk Goldgar in the thread
'Terugrekenen naar uren?' (which has been posted to the wrong newsgroup also
:-( ). I do not ( I repeat) do NOT post future posts to stay on top, even
more, as soon as I have my answer I don'rt need to see the question again.
Since I am using CTRL+H a lot to see my own posts en the responses to them
you can imagine that they bother me as much as they bother you.

P.S. For the job I've been given I need the help of this newsgroup very
much! I am not (as may be very clear :S) an Access Programmer but the
unfortunately only one who has seen Access more than three times in our
office
