I have found that it is possible to create a blank email with
someone's address using emails stored in an Access field.

If the addresses in the field are prefaced with mailto:

and the field options are set so that hyperlink is 'yes' , when the
link is clicked on this should open a new blank email addressed to the
person whose address is highlighted in the field.

The only problem now is that I need to add mailto: to all the 2,000
email addresses. I presume some kind of update query would do it?
